Huntington Ingalls Industries – Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD) is currently seeking a Special Security Officer / Information Systems Security Officer / to support our government customers working in Romania. The Special Security Officer / Information Systems Security Officer will be instrumental in protecting US Air Forces in Europe’s (USAFE) information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, perusal, inspection, recording and destruction. Candidates must be able to multitask, adapt to a fast-paced operations environment, possess the ability to apply analytical, customer service, and critical thinking skills. Duties will consist of managing and enforcing security strategies and policies within established guidelines. Areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing assessment & authorization packages to obtain approvals to operate and continuous monitoring responsibilities IAW DoD Special Security and Information Security directives. This role will be expected to work 56 hours/week.
What You Will Do
Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, sale of counterfeit products, documents, and equipment. Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations and organization reputation. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting staff and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes and security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Develops and provides cost assessments to customer for additions or modifications to the site and its systems.
What We Are Looking For
- 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19+ years relevant experience
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clerance
- Experience in supporting Remotely Piloted Aircreaft (RPA) programs
- Knowledge of CINCH security systems
Preferred: Bonus Points For…
- Former military experience in as a Information Systems Security, and/or a Special Security Office (SSO), preferably as the Facility Security Officer (FSO)
- Use of the Intelligence Community badging system
- Experience working security issues on foreign military bases, especially if that experience is in Europe and particularly in Romania
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs
