• As part of the Infrastructure function, the Deutsche Bank Chief Security Office (CSO) maintains an appropriate level of information and corporate security protection Group-wide, and end-to-end, in accordance with the Group’s Risk Appetite. As the most senior authority within Deutsche Bank for security matters, CSO develops and drives the implementation and operationalization of the information and corporate security strategy and ensures that Deutsche Bank’s assets and people are appropriately protected.
• The focus of this role is to ensure governance and controls for the protection of the bank’s information, buildings, staff and assets; staff safety and security; security training and awareness; understanding of technical security systems in support of physical security operations; and oversight and input to security projects as required. The role will also be expected to manage travel security and environmental health and safety in the given geographic scope. This includes any corporate offices, branches, recovery sites and other buildings associated with Deutsche Bank operations.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for all security-related matters for Deutsche Bank in the given geographic scope, including the oversight of all security operations, as well as other tasks. These include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring all Chief Security Office (CSO)y policies relevant to the geographic area of coverage are aligned to local regulations; this includes the development of any local policies to meet compliance
• Ensuring all operational delivery is in accordance with:

• • Global CSO standards and guidelines
  • Regional CSO standards and guidelines
  • Regional and local regulations

• Monitoring and reporting the bank’s strategic tier 1 vendor security delivery to ensure service delivery against SLAs and standards
• Owning responsibility for monitoring and escalating local incidents; to include ownership of notifications to any impacted travellers or impacted business
• Serving as the escalation point for all local operational security matters and the security lead for incidents and crisis management, including security and non-security incident response which may have the potential to lead to a crisis event regionally or globally
• Supporting and managing (if applicable and agreed by Regional Head of Corporate Security or Regional CISO) security investigations as required
• Performing robust physical security reviews of existing Deutsche Bank buildings, due diligence of potential buildings, including corporate hotels and business recovery sites. Written reports must be of a high standard of written English and contain detailed SME content
• Developing and maintaining local internal and external stakeholder relationships to leverage engagement for the benefit of the organisation
• Providing support to any Deutsche Bank stakeholder at the agreement of the Regional Head of Corporate Security or Regional CISO, and supporting colleagues and the wider organisation in delivering global initiatives and operational requirements
• Acting as local contact for all internal and regulatory matters regarding security
• Acting as program manager for the local implementation of the security awareness measures to different audiences in the country
• Ensuring that the security models of the Bank are more effective by being continuously aware of the latest developments in both Romanian and global markets,
• Providing information security expertise to local technology teams
• Driving the implementation of the Group Corporate and Information Security strategies in the country

Skills & Qualifications:

• Tertiary education in a relevant subject
• Excellent knowledge of physical / technical and operational security, guarding and environmental health & safety with on-the-ground commercial experience, preferably in the financial sector. Executive Protection exposure preferred
• Excellent knowledge of information security topics, ideally qualified with certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM) or willing to obtain such certification
• Working technical knowledge of Access Control and CCTV systems
• Excellent network in the security sector regionally. Connections with Government a bonus
• Detailed knowledge of vendor management and contacts within the security vendor community
• Beside local required language skills, fluency in English is essential, written and verbal
• Excellent briefing / presentation development and delivery, both written and verbal, and strong analysis capability
• Strong project management and organizational skills – ability to reprioritize as the situation demands and meet key project and business delivery dates, often in a short time-frame, whilst balancing a portfolio of ad hoc / ongoing activity. Ability to manage remote teams to ensure that task delivery and standards remain optimal
• High level of self-motivation, results-based approach work ethic, and ability to work under pressure in a high performance environment. Robust decision making capability, while adopting a collegiate approach to functional teams
• Willingness to be available at any hour and to deal with active operational issues especially in a crisis.
