THE ROLE
As our Director of Physical Security, you will be responsible for developing our physical risk and security capabilities, ensuring the safety of our employees, and improving our readiness and response to incidents You’ll be in charge of implementing, developing, and deploying a comprehensive physical security program, liaising with Information Security, Legal, BCM, Real Estate and Facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement a baseline approach for the physical security program to support in assessing the risk to our offices and assisting in the selection and design of new facilities.
- Identify and communicate relevant security risks to cross-functional partners and regional/local leadership.
- Respond to and assist in the investigation of safety and security incidents and emergencies.
- Assist in the resolving of physical security vulnerabilities that have been identified. Ensure that all vulnerabilities are documented and effective mitigation actions are taken to address the issues.
- You define remaining risks, validate them with business stakeholders and recommend mitigations, register them and follow up on progress.
- Proactively measure the effectiveness of physical security program.
- Keep up with relevant international legislation, emerging threats, forecasts, policies and benchmarks
- Deliver regular and consistent KPI/KRIs to top management.
- Remain current on security industry events, threats and impacts on new technology.
Skills & Experience
- 10+ years operational experience in global security planning and operational execution in corporate environment with exposure to international locations;
- Global mindset, cultural sensitivity and ability to travel internationally;
- Demonstrated experience writing and implementing protocols, policies and procedures related to physical security and emergency response.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience providing briefings/presentations, demonstrated experience leading teams, building business
- relationships, and coordinating with other security and law enforcement agencies
- Knowledge of and experience with security standards and frameworks, especially ISO27001
- Experience in a global organization with the proven ability to navigate complex, international work environments being sensitive to cultural differences
- In-depth familiarity with security policies based on industry standards and best practices.
- Advanced technical writing skill
- Ability to lead and communicate efficiently within a team environment
- Ability to communicate security issues to peers and management.
- Customer-oriented with a strong interest in client satisfaction.
