Romania Chapter Participates in Private Security Day Panel

In November, the Romanian private security community gathered during its most important meeting of the year at the Private Security Day and OSPA Romania Gala 2019. The well-established event brought together more than 250 high-profile leaders from the local and international private security sector to shape the future of the industry.

The ASIS International Romania Chapter launched the challenge to decode the profile of the private security leader for the future with the panel “An Educated Security Manager – The Balance Between Soft and Hard Skills”. Tiberiu Visoiu, CPP, PSP, treasurer of the Romania Chapter, moderated the debate. The panel included the following speakers: Ionel Popa from WindOne, Florin Marica from Ultravision Consult, Marius Potorac-Roman from Axis Communications, Caroline Bashford from the ASIS UK Chapter, Constantin Iordache from VerifiES. They discussed the need to evolve key performance indicators for measuring success in security and to grow from security technical experts to holistic security leaders with enriched business mastery along with solid ethics and people skills.

During the event, the ASIS Romania Chapter affirmed that “the future security leader is a holistic leader”.
