Job role:

Head of Physical Security is responsible for organizing, coordinating, controlling and evaluating the department activities for ensuring on the implementation of physical security strategy in BCR and subsidiaries.

Key Job Requirements:

  • Act as one of the key relationship to business units and support as manager and risk advisor for all aspects concerning physical security;
  • Reviews and challenges security measures and behavior at 1st Line of Defense (LoD), engage with 1st LoD senior management, executive managers across business divisions and infrastructure units;
  • Advises 1st LoD to apply the existing framework without exception;
  • Responsible of increasing the security awareness to 1st LoD personnel;
  • Develops and maintains the physical security framework and strategy;
  • Develops and conducts training around physical security framework and strategy, tools and processes;
  • Monitors business units and support units adherence to physical security framework;
  • Designs and maintains reporting which includes:
  1. measure of 1st LoD readiness;
  2. measure of 2nd LoD readiness (ii) BCR  and BCR Group Security readiness & Risks Appetite – changes/proposals, exposure to (new) external threats & compliance (iii) residual risk and its potential materiality to BCR & BCR Group;
  • Represents physical security in bank’s applicable risk and governance forums/committee and ensure effective risk appetite reporting;
  • Manages physical security related projects;
  • Assists in the Bank’s response during a crisis (Crisis Management);
  • Represents the interface with applicable regulators on matters related to physical security;
  • Perform security’s 2nd LoD controls;
  • Validates and challenges reported Risk and Controls Self Assessments;
  • Validates risk mitigation and acceptance, control points, KRI’s, breaches and escalation;
  • Provides the necessary support for development and implementation of 1st LoD setting minimum operational standards;
  • Manages and coordinates the department’s budget and material resources.

Basic Qualifications Required:

  • ·Education and Training: Bachelor’s degree in economics technical;
  • Working Experience: minimum 8 years, including a minimum of 4 years in a managerial position;
  • Knowledge of management, negotiation and communication;
  • Knowledge of project management;
  • Specific physical security certifications;
  • Knowledge about good practices in the field of activity.
